Homemade Hummus
A smooth and flavorful homemade hummus featuring chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, lemon, cumin, and Earthquake Eddie Bee Original Mix. Perfect for snacks, gatherings, and healthy dipping.
Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) can organic chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- 2 tablespoons organic olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sesame tahini
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/2 teaspoon Celtic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 scoop Earthquake Eddie Bee Original Mix
Directions
- Drain the chickpeas and add them to a food processor.
- Add olive oil, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, salt, cumin, and Earthquake Eddie Bee Original Mix.
- Pulse until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
- If the hummus is too thick, add a few tablespoons of water or additional olive oil until desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Before serving, sprinkle with black sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve with pita, crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables.
Optional Hint
For extra smooth hummus, remove the skins from the chickpeas before blending. It takes a few extra minutes but creates an incredibly creamy texture.
