Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can organic chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 2 tablespoons organic olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sesame tahini
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon Celtic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 scoop Earthquake Eddie Bee Original Mix

Directions

  1. Drain the chickpeas and add them to a food processor.
  2. Add olive oil, lemon juice, tahini, garlic, salt, cumin, and Earthquake Eddie Bee Original Mix.
  3. Pulse until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  4. If the hummus is too thick, add a few tablespoons of water or additional olive oil until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle with black sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Serve with pita, crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables.
Optional Hint
For extra smooth hummus, remove the skins from the chickpeas before blending. It takes a few extra minutes but creates an incredibly creamy texture.
